New Sponsor at Crafting From the Heart Challenge 79

It's been a lovely day for the first day of the school holidays. I had our 3 oldest grandchildren to look after today and we decided to take a picnic lunch over to the school playground near us so we could enjoy the sunshine and also for the kids to have fun on the play equipment. We came back home and the two girls decided they wanted to be creative. The youngest stamped and coloured with Marvy Markers and the oldest girl decided to draw a character and colour her in. Young Isaac also did a colourful drawing after we all told him how to use my markers without damaging them!!!
Now it's time for me to let you know about the new challenge starting today at Crafting From the Heart. It is as usual an Anything Goes Theme and we have a new sponsor as well. Fab creations from:  The Fantasy Art of Nikki Burnette .
Here is my creation using one of her images.......

Recipe:
SU Tempting Turquoise cardstock for the cardbase, matte and punched label
SU Burnt Brown Sugar cardstock for the mattes

Image from The Fantasy Art of Nikki Burnette - Shelby - Version 3

SU Night of Navy inkpad
SU Ballet Blue inkpad (to create the cloudy sky background)

My second post for today - Challenge 5 at Crafty Girls Creations

Another post for today, please check out my previous post to see my latest Christmas card and get the challenge details.
This post is to share my DT card for Crafty Girls Creations - the challenge is run fortnightly and is an Anything Goes Theme, so get your supplies out and create something to join in with us. If you head over to the challenge blog you can see all the fab makes from the DT. Our sponsor for this challenge is a new one for us - it's Dmitry of FabrikaFantasy
Here is my card.........It was a bit dull outside when I took the picture so I brightened it up slightly. In both pictures(the untouched one and the brightened one), the colours aren't quite true. Take the treasure chest for example I used a couple of shades of brown copic markers and it came out purple, lol and the DP should be a duller blue as well.

Recipe:
SU Hello Honey cardstock for the cardbase
Black cardstock from stash
White cardstock from stash to print images and to stamp the sentiment
DP from SU 12x12 paper pack ~ High Tide
Image from FabrikaFantasy ~ Pirate Parrot 1 - I made lots of copies so I could cut pieces from each to 3 D the parrot. You can't really see that in the picture but I think it looks ok in real life. I used the precoloured image with the background and just cropped it to create the extra images - that way I already had the size of the parrot right!!!
Sentiment is from Close to My Heart set - Kaboom
Punches - two different sized circle punches
Copic Markers
SU Pacific Point inkpad
D/S tape roller and Foam Dots

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes

Hope to see you popping in to the challenge blog and joining the challenge this fortnight. Another easy Anything Goes Theme......No hardship creating something for the challenges.
Thanks for stopping by,
Take Care,

She'll hopefully sleep tonight and at least our daughter and her fiancee will get an uninterupted sleep. They also have his grandmother living with them and I think my daughter stresses about everyone not getting any rest. It won't hurt me for one night.

That's it from me, I have to go and organise Christmas music books for choir tonight. Yep, we just finished all our rehearsals for Mozart Requiem Mass and performed the work on Sunday afternoon and now we will be preparing our Christmas Music and maybe starting on a couple of Japanese songs for our concert tour in Japan next year. Looking forward to going, I've been in the choir for nearly 16 years and this is my first overseas trip with them. They did several before I started and some of the choir went last year to America but I chose not to go for financial reasons. There have been several planned trips that have fallen through for various reasons over the years, but this one is going ahead and we are all just waiting on a few more group arrangements to be finalised before we have to start paying!

We would love to see you stopping by the challenge blog and entering a creation into the challenge. Don't forget to check out all the DT cards and maybe pop into our personal blogs and leave a comment as well.
Thanks for stopping by,
Take Care,
Hugs, Sandy

Challenge 77 at Crafting From the Heart

Another busy day sewing doilies onto the curtain for my daughter's vintage style wedding next year. It is very time consuming. She left several hours ago and I continued sewing till about 30 mins ago. Even forgot that my grandson was asleep still. If you don't wake him up he just sleeps on!!! I don't think he is 100% we;; at the moment. So, this is my first chance to pop in and write up today's post. (Still have to cook our evening meal, it's going to be a late one!)
Anyway, I've made another male card. I don't do a lot of them so thought it would be good to boost my stash. Our sponsor at Crafting from the Heart this week is Deedee's Digis and I chose this fab image to design my card with.
Here it is........I enlarged the image and printed straight onto the cardstock so I could fold it into a square card. I then cut around the image reducing the front of the card. I added an embossed panel on the inside which you can see behind the tool box. Coloured with Copic Markers and added some black bling for the studs on the hammer and pliers. I think it turned out fairly well.

Recipe:
White cardstock from stash
Image is from Deedee's Digis ~ Tool Time
Sentiment was computer generated straight onto the image
Die'sire Embossing folder - Gun Metal
Nestie Die - Deckled Rectangle for inside the card
Copic Markers
Bling from stash

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion Challenges -  Challenge 279 ~ Anything Goes

Without Words - September ~ For the Boys

My fellow teamies and I would love to see your creations this week and as it is always Anything Goes at Crafting from the Heart Challenge I'm sure you'll agree it won't be hard to make something for the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by

Add a tag Challenge #23 at Get Creative Challenges

Hi everyone, had a busy day today pinning old doilies to a sheer curtain and then hand stitching them on. My daughter is getting married in Feb next year and wants to have a vintage wedding theme. So we've been searching for old doilies to buy and now we have enough to start the sewing process. We have got quite a few on but there are lots to go. She is going to use it as a backdrop for photos. In between I've looked after our grandson who stayed overnight and is going home in about an hour. Charlie Chaplin has made an appearance on my 613 Avenue Create DT card

Hi all, Sorry I'm a bit late with my post today. It's Father's Day here in Sth. Australia and the family have been here all afternoon. We had planned an outing to the beach and a barbecue with people bringing bikes and skateboards to ride, but the weather plotted against us and it has been wet and really windy. Hubby did have a rain free period to get the meat and fish cooked on the barbeque in our back yard and after lunch most of them went off to have a play at the local school basketball court. So......a good time had by all. Even me now that I can use my front teeth to bite with. Our youngest granddaughter has been taking a few steps so we enjoyed trying to get her to walk a little bit further as well.
Well better hurry up and share my post for the new challenge at 613 Avenue Create. It's an Anything Goes theme with an optional twist which this challenge is a Create Your Own Challenge using the chart shared on the challenge blog. I will put it further down in my post for you to look at.
